WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE!
My name is Lacy (McEndree) Genet and I am a second grade teacher/Gifted Intervention Specialist at Hazel Harvey. I also am the Gifted Coordinator for Chippewa Local Schools. I started working for this district in 2008 and I love it! I attended Chippewa Local Schools throughout my educational career and am very happy to be employed in my hometown.
I graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduation, I became a substitute teacher, tutored children and adults of all ages in reading, writing, math, study skills, homework support, and ACT/SAT prep classes at Sylvan Learning Center, and was a Director for the Doylestown Summer Recreation Program. I have also completed my master's degree in Educational Psychology and endorsements in Gifted Education (K-12) and fourth and fifth grades. Finally and most importantly I am looking forward to working with your children!
