National Honor Society upholds 4 ideals: Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service.
Only students with a 3.5 cumulative GPA are eligible. Students who meet this standard in their junior or senior year given both a letter and an invitation to Google Classroom to signal that they may begin the selection process. Those students who wish to be considered for NHS must demonstrate the four ideals listed above and apply for selection. There are three forms that students must complete, and 7 character references students must distribute.
The forms are on Google classroom. Interested students will join the classroom and fill out the forms online and submit like assignments. The link to join the class will be on the eligibility form students will receive during the summer. An email inviting students to join the Google Classroom was sent on June 23, 2021. The letter will go home the week of June 28, 2021. This gives students time to get their service done.
Important dates for 2021:
Monday, September 6, 2021-all character reference forms out to all people filling out your character references. This is the deadline to get them out; feel free to get out ASAP.
Friday, September 10, 2021-all forms due to Mrs. Kager by 3:00 pm
Friday, October 1, 2021-induction ceremony during school day.
