Music Awards Banquet
The High School Music Department banquet is Tuesday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the High School Cafeteria. All High School Choir members will receive their year awards-Letters, Pins, Plaques, and Certificates. All HS Band and Choir members and their families are invited.
Please bring a dish to share:
Freshman/Sophomore: Main Dish
Juniors-Side Dish
Seniors-Dessert
High School Band and Choir Concert
The High School Spring Concert will be held Monday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the High School Multipurpose Room. Choir members should arrive at 7:00 p.m. for warm-up. Attire is Dress Black.

Welcome to the choir and the music department of Chippewa High School. I am looking forward to a great choral year!
GRADES
The grading policy is based on these criteria:
1. Participation in class
2. Concert performance
3. Skill assessment
a. Written Work--worksheets, quizzes, tests, sight reading exercises
b. Vocal assessment
c. Performance reflection journal
CONCERTS
- Attendance at all performances involving your grade level choir is mandatory. Choir is a performance class.
2. Concert attire is as follows:
*Boys in all choirs should wear a Black dress shirt, Black dress pants (No jeans or athletic pants), Black socks and dress shoes (No Athletic Shoes). Ties are
optional.
*Girls in all choirs should wear Black dress blouse or sweater, Black skirt or dress pants (leggings are not suitable for performance), Black dress shoes-(please no more than
a two inch heel), or a Blackdress. All skirts and dresses should be at least fingertip length.
*Jeans, hoodies, t-shirts with writing, leggings, athletic shoes and shorts are not appropriate dress attire for concerts.
FEES
A fee of $7 is to be paid to the High School Office for your choir robe cleaning.
